Dengue victims up by 19% this year: Bangkok official
Some 3,630 people came down with dengue fever in Bangkok in the first five months of this year, health officials have said. But fortunately, they had no reports of casualties.
The total number was a jump of 19.5 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Duangporn Pinjeesekikul, who heads Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Communicable Disease Control Division, revealed Monday that the biggest group of patients this year was children aged from 10 to 14 years old.
