False economy, but as my pound in the wallet has shrunk in value I have started cooking again. No more fancy Italian restaurants, it's diy time.
Surprised at how good a cook I still am, and great fun.
The initial outlay on herbs , spices, cheese etc was hefty, but a sound investment I am sure Fletch would agree.
My son is full of praise for his new European diet. Might go Indian next. Or Paki as most Indian food in Indian takeaways was/is Paki.
So my cuisine is now distinctly non english (was it ever?) and a total afront to the brexiteers.

Home cooking, can't afford to set up a business, my stash has been reduced in value, thanks to some idiots.
Oh well , we won the wars and just gave Europe back to the Europeans.
Now to get the empire back, trade talks with India, they love little englanders.

Well, when you move on to Indian dishes you will definitively be a good Brit and maybe even a good Englishman as "chicken tikka masala" seems to be the current national dish over in the UK. Blether took me to a fantastic Pakistani run restaurant last night...so much better than the Bangladeshi dives that infest Scotland.
Another favourite in Failsworth Manchester again run by Pakistanis...they know their grub!
