Googling around took me a little longer than usual to find the links for applying for a UK passport in Thailand and a lot of ads/ services. So for anyone else doing so:

You still need to make an appointment, by email.

Your friendly embassy / consulate still wants nothing to do with you as far as this is concerned

You’ll need to book an appointment by email. Include your first name and last name and 3 alternative dates and times. You will receive an email confirming your appointment.
