And let others answer; I have an opinion, unlikely to change with reactionary posts. Debate, fine, give me something to chew on.

You have some "truths"?
Oh I was a teacher, not a monk, I have no ( never had) a desire for little girls or boys.
One night was with a friend. She wanted a closer relationship. It was hell; I liked her, but not that way. Three days after she died. A diabetic and after that encounter stopped heher injections. Correct my spelling if you please. She died. My fault?

As you grow very old you know death. I knew it at a young age. Not just the above, but of close friends who died, young. Want more?

She lived in my house with her (boyfriend). She conceived. She was a midwife, knew about sex. They were to be married. Diagnosed as non Hogkinson's lymphoma ; she had a choice (Sophie's), die to save the child or live. She died.

The child lived; she died shortly after his birth. Every day stuff. Want the Daily Mail to get you aroused?

My fault, your fault, their fault ? Up-to-a-point does it matter? Life goes on and our past should help us to become better prepared.

Still, being dead isn't all either whatever Virgil may have said "sedibus ut saltem placidis in morte quiescam"

Agreed, it is as it is. We do, or should do our best and not brag about our good fortune. You are reading this? Then you have internet connection and are not some poor bugger!

Now that's interesting. Sonic all out (yes he died) and Patti laid back. Just thoughts. They were partners and Patti did not join Blue Oyster

It is said, , that Patti, a feminist(don't like that term) as a human, married Fred as she did not have to change her name. My wife has not changed her name and our son uses her Thai name. Just thoughts.

The only thing I have to brag about lately is surviving, used to take it for granted, just waking up every morning. These days I value seeing the sun come up in the morning more than all the money and possessions I have ever had. Funny but these days I have little value for material possessions, I give things away that I would never dream of before. Keep thinking about that old saying that you can't take it with you. Unfortunately it takes a major health scare to make you see the sense in that. The richest man in the world has the same as a poor beggar when he is on his death bed - nothing. (I think I will take up drinking again, to justify the melancholy)
