WE do have from eight hours ago "Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says an FBI report into the pilot of lost flight MH370 is a matter for Malaysian investigators and doesn't shed light on the plane's location. Labor wants the government to reveal what it knows about reports captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah used a home computer flight simulator less than a month before the aircraft vanished in March 2014. 'Even if the simulator information does show that it is possible or very likely that the captain planned this shocking event, it does not tell us the location of the aircraft,' Mr Turnbull told reporters in Sydney." www.skynews.com.au/news/top-stories/2016/07/25/fbi-report-on-mh370--up-to-malaysia-.html"At the time of the crash Zaharie came under scrutiny amid unsubstantiated reports that he was upset over a jail sentence handed to Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim hours before the plane took off or was suicidal due to personal problems. But his family and friends strongly reject such claims as baseless." www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2016/07/25/australia-says-no-clues-from-fbi-report-on-mh370-pilot/

I have to disagree with this.
I met a bloke in Pattani who was wearing his pig lipstick, sandals and pearl necklace who told me he was flying his Cessna around the Cape of No Hope when a Malaysian jet flew below him.
He said he would have taken a pic but his 200 Baht Motorola phone only allows phone and text.
In any case he had to bail out as he remembered he can't actually fly a plane.
It was unclear what happened next as he fell off his bar stool and cracked his head on the 7/11 bin on his descent.

Does seem the obvious. No distress calls sent, plane turned off course. The others in the cockpit probably met a nasty end first up.

What surprises me with the industry, is how many are into flight sim. I have friends at Alpha- India who are ground crew, ATC, and pilots.

The others in the cockpit probably met a nasty end first up. Not necessarily. Didn't the German who did something similar simply lock the pilot out of the cockpit when he went to the toilet? They really should introduce chamber pots for cockpit staff as a matter of priority to stop this sort of thing happening again.

If a bathroom visit is required, a "qualified" cabin crew member must sit in. Unless training, or a crew transfer. The usual cockpit crew is 2. Computers replaced flight engineers years ago.

Italian scientists believe the wreckage is 500km north of where the search was carried out. They base their conclusion on where debris has washed ashore.

Those are US rules....they do not apply to foreign airlines. Each country makes their own. I think they will just have to put a note on the flight plan which the pilots accept. DID YOU GO? It is hard to imagine it is needed to go 20 minutes after takeoff.
