We're thinking of buying another condo in Bangers....what's the scoop on this folks?
Thinking around 140k Baht per sq metre.
Will we make our fortune renting it out....selling before its built or filling it with rare Pokemon and selling tickets to visit?

Go for it, absolute bargain, you will be quids in in no time, has to be a better return than rubber farms.
Why am I too thick to see these potential money makers?
Retired taxi drivers landing at Swampy as we speak with their worthless Pommie pesos, taxi straight from Swampy with their wifes "gik" driving waiting to whisk them to the nearest Somcahi, who will give Little Lek a 20% commission.
I hear Din Daeng is the next big thing, get in there quick.

She fancied a place 700m from Udom Suk...I said <duck> that...too much hassle.
I think better value can still be had closer to town.

Udom Suk, , best head to Pak Naam, can still pick up houses for less than 100,000 baht, yes I shoit you not, not that you or I could live there. Phra pra deang and its ugly sister Pra samut chedi are the next in places, get there quick before the TEFLr types snap up the bargains. Sam Rong Nuea or Sam Rong Tai, decisions decsions.

We'll be looking at middle class areas...well only one area really. Lot of top development and great transport links.

I heard about your arrest in Jomtien trying to steal sand for your duck pond up there. Hiding it in your plus fours was inspired...its just a shame you met the BBQ on the way ip the road and had to batter the <duck>er else you would be selling Rang Sit beach barbecue roosters from a craft beer bar in Youwarat.

If you've made up your mind on where and how much, what do you mean by what's the scoop?
I thought the new condo market was already flooded and places seem to sit empty in the hope of a renter?

Spot on rgs our neck of the woods here in Samut Prakarn, Pak Nam contrary to popular belief has many very nice gated private estates and property is still reasonably priced. You've all the shopping you need within a 10 kilometer radius, Foodland, Villa all the malls as you well know, air quality is good and traffic not too big a problem, the local entertainment isn't so bad either. Come on and rub shoulders and mix with the cream of local society, Tony Tiger and myself who grace the area with our presence, indeed an experience on a par with being a member an excellent exclusive London Gentleman's club, well nearly so!!

Wish I could afford properties in Thailand, but not happening until I've paid off a place in my home country first.
Not great pound/baht exchange at the moment is it?

an excellent exclusive London Gentleman's club That's no "gentleman's club" - the Athenaeum admits women, and has done since 2002. Fortunately, in London there is a number of clubs that don't admit women, for example: XXL, The Vault, The Hoist, CumUnion (at The Flying Dutchman, so maybe Rubl knows it?) and Fitladz. I'm pretty sure all of them welcome Old Etonians and other Tory cabinet members of the male persuasion.

Uncle rubl has an extensive selection of plastic bags for his visits to these gentlemen's clubs. Apparently his favourite one provides free string!

Of that fact I am well aware having taken my wife there in 2008. and again in 2010. Caused something of a stir when a not often seen member arrived with an oriental looking lady too. She found it somewhat overpowering, however a couple of more visits and she was at ease there.
My father was a long time member of The Athenaum and always regarded it as a bastion of security away from my mother and grandmothers and womenfolk in general. My father had inherited the ideals of his father who always considered woman somewhat strange beings.

We are lookimg for our second condo down in the pak nam area. I really like it. If i am being honest i think we will be a little too heavily invested in thai property, but i think renting out our current condo will be just about my speed for a full time "job".

Why are you investing in Thailand, for capital growth or regular income?
I have nothing against investing in Thailand (I do myself), but why the need for a condo?
They can build condos all day long, one thing they cant do is build land, if I were you I would be looking at land, not condos.
Condos very easy to buy, almost impossible to sell, land going up in value every year.
