Is "jetlagged" a euphemism for "drunk as a lord"? And is that why she fell out of the tuk-tuk at 2:30 in the morning - a time when all good, decent people are safely tucked up in bed?

I am not usually a suspicious type but as soon as I hear the words "tuk-tuk" and "fall from" I instantly think of alcohol. Have a had a few hairy trips home over the years myself.
Terrible thing to happen when it is supposed to be a dream holiday. Condolences.
