Something I want to point out, don't talk to your Thai Partner in Pidgin English like a friend of mine does. He sounds like he's talking to a five year old kid not his wife and that's no way to get her to learn the lingo. It drives me bonkers, have you ever noticed it's the same guys when walking with their wives and see another farang within ear shot, start speaking in English rather loudly as if to say hey look my honey can understand English. All the time I'm thinking I'd be more impressed if I heard you speaking Thai. When I do this its to try and get a word in edgeways....:-( |

This one is worse, there's a farang in my building and every time we get in the elevator he asks me in Thai what floor - first of all you idiot, you can't press my floor I need to do it with my key fob, secondly your bar girl Thai is awful, thirdly you're ugly ...... Must be more (rant off) When they try to speak to me in Thai I copy Mary in Little Britain. Huh what did you say ? Huh huh huh |

I love it when pottering around a shopping mall in tow with 'er what spends the money and shouts'' and one meets up with a another westerner walking towards or past you usually attired in shorts T.shirt and Jesus boots who is with his ''lady friend'' and he suddenly starts to speak Thai in a loud voice to impress you or any other passing persons.
