I'm in Guadalajara for a few days - it's up in the mountains so the weather is lovely. I think it kicks around 60 - 73 fahrenheit, perfect. I'm a bit shocked at the size of the city, it has a population of 8 million or so, which would put it on par with Bangkok. 

It's roughly the same price as Bangkok, ( talking tourist prices here ), with a large historical centre. That's something I think Bangkok is missing, as far as I can see they didn't manage to keep a genuine historical downtown zone of any size. Maybe I'm wrong so you can educate me on that -
