Universal Basic Income. Experiments to start in Finland and the Netherlands "Thousands to Receive Basic Income in Finland Finland is about to launch an experiment in which a randomly selected group of 2,000–3,000 citizens already on unemployment benefits will begin to receive a monthly basic income of 560 euros (approx. $600). That basic income will replace their existing benefits. The amount is the same as the current guaranteed minimum level of Finnish social security support. The pilot study, running for two years in 2017-2018, aims to assess whether basic income can help reduce poverty, social exclusion, and bureaucracy, while increasing the employment rate." futurism.com/thousands-to-receive-basic-income-in-finland/"The Netherlands' Upcoming Money-for-Nothing Experiment Next year, 250 residents in Utrecht and a few surrounding cities are slated to participate in a government program testing out a universal basic income." www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/06/netherlands-utrecht-universal-basic-income-experiment/487883/

Terribly sorry and all that but former EU Brits are excluded from this experiment for the European masses. Mind you you won't have to foot the bill either

This form of stimulus should be aimed at pensioners.
If the 10 million pensioners in the UK were given an extra £500 a year, that would create a potential £5 billion pound stimulus for the economy, creating employment for younger people.
Pensioners are already out of the work market, so there's no threat to making "working not worth it." I say potential £5 billion stimulus as some will save the money, not spend it - and there's nothing wrong with that either. It is, literally, cash in the bank.
Interfering with the countries productivity though, by giving "money for nothing," to those of working age is beyond stupid. To clarify, that doesn't mean abolishing social security, it means bastardising the link between work and wealth.
