Ok folks. I know they are 5 years, but I hear they can be extended for another 5. Is this right? and is it a same day service?

For Thai passports in our family, they usually get a new one every 5 years - not heard of extending them.

OH looks like a trip over to Surat. Last time I was on crutches so couldn't drive. The guy who took us fell asleep at the wheel. Luckily everyone had a seatbelt on.

5 year life span and that's it new Thai passport
Well that's always been the cases with the missus and the kids, mind you the kids also carry U.K.passports( 10 years validty) with the right of residence too.
