It is a pity though that all buildings and transport, and footpaths are not designed to make it possible for people to get there. Sad really as Thailand was one of the first places to actually incorporate disability in laws in one of Paiboons decrees.

^ I told my wife I would not take my wheelchair back to Wororot Markets in CM, would rather take my chances with the walking stick. Just have to be careful I don't stick the stick in a stick hole. I like this bit - ........................................."while companies not employing persons with disabilities will have to provide financial support to the Fund for Persons with Disabilities"....................................... Love the way Thais think. Don't try to understand it for one minute, but love it.

Love the way Thais think. Don't try to understand it for one minute, but love it. Very sensible. Like the plan Australia had some years ago to provide training to employees. A certain percentage had to be spent on a training budget. Trouble is it became routed by providing camps for senior staff or pay tax to allow another apprentice to be employed by the government. THey scrapped that and now training is provided overseas and work visas are given to foreigners because they have not got the trained people.
