I mentioned a promo night I was at in CM on this thread - bigmango.boards.net/post/89441/thread I've been to a few others and always enjoyed them. I enjoy watching shows - I was at a Cuban Cabaret In Guadlajara twice over the weekend, superb stuff. One of the other nights I was at in CM was a promo at Xanadu, on top of the Furama hotel. Same idea as always - 1,000 baht to reserve the table of your choice, the 1,000 baht included a bottle of whisky. Better than normal entertainment, the guy this night was an ex-chart topping star in Thailand. A full house, always great for atmosphere - and top class food. The problem is trying to keep up with where the promo nights are taking place - I usually happen upon them by fluke - visiting the restaurants a few days before. I was at Xanadu a few days before that do with eek - she loved it. I do too - but some nights it can be overly quiet. Have you ever been to a promo night of this type?

^^^^^ 1,000 baht to be treated like royalty, fussed and fawned over, your wish is my command. At the end of the night give a tip, and get a genuine wai and a khop khun ka, try that in some of the farang areas they give you a scowl and a kee niaw comment.
The Thais have it right.
