Don't have a problem with ham and pineapple but Pizza Hut here went nutters over the Mid Autumn festival with DURIAN pizza. Yes, durian. An acquired taste I'm sure. Our Beijing member here was it up there as well tigress? Then they had a banana pizza with mayo, wtf and something called corn surprise. So weird pizza toppings. Over to you.

Sweetcorn is great on a non traditional pizza, has to have all the other trimmings too though.
I originally thought lamb donner meat on pizza was a bit odd, nut durian, yeah that is a bit mad

In the 70's Pizza Hut entered the Japanese market. It failed abysmally. They gave up and let a local company take over the business. The company ditched all the standard Pizza Hut offerings, and offered pizzas topped with seaweed and raw fish. Even today the Japanese offerings are odd by usual standards, with "mochi potato mentai", "avocado shrimp", "potato and mayo sausage", "super Korean purukogi" and "curry potato". pizzahut.jp/pc/pizza_menu/?link_id=cft_pzzOne of my abiding memories of eating pizza in Japan (not Pizza Hut) was the pizzas always had a raw egg on them - added after the pizza was cooked. Really not very nice.

Ew! Durian pizza, no thanks! I've seen all types of weird combos both here and in Korea. Seeing shrimp on pizza is strange. Potato pizza is big in Korea. I was in a Pizza Hut in Tianjin and struggled to find a basic veggie pizza.

Brings back memories of the first Pizza Hut I ever haunted, at Indooroopilly in Brisbane, 1974, ham and pineapple pizzas and big glasses of icy cold beer.
Japanese pizza sounds weird, as does anything with durian on it. Although I did try durian ice-cream once and it was quite good.

...generally speaking, Italian pizza isn't anything like US pizza: more sparing on the sauce and toppings for one thing...

Pizzas need tomato and cheese and optional pepperoni.
Anything else is a sandwich.

fruit and fruitty toppings on pizza is an abomination. crimes worthy of the harshest penalty and including but not limited to: hanging, flogging, rabbit punching, donkey punching, tittie twisting. to name a few.
pizza is to be cherished. as such, one does not take risks. traditional toppings are welcome and getting creative means walking the tightrope. if you're talking pesto, i can accept your creativity, and if you're talking pineapple and shrimp, you're basically ripping up the Magna Carta.
dont. <duck>. with. the. pie.

(dont hold that against me and please dont bring that up again. i'll deny i ever said it) doh. oh shit thats not how forums work eh.
