It was only a matter of time. With the global popularity of Pokemon GO, a ton of weird stories have appeared. People have been robbed, found dead bodies, been hit by cars, saved from drowning in lakes, and so much more as they sought out different Pokemon. Unfortunately, from our perspective, all of these incidents took place outside of Asia. However, an event in Russia (come on, half of it is in Asia) wins an Olympic gold medal for strangeness. A woman filed a police report that she a Pokemon from the augmented reality game raped her.
Police did not release the name of the 23-year-old woman. According to the report, the unknown woman, who lives in Moscow, was asleep last week. She woke up around 3am to a large Pokemon on top of her. As she continued to wake up, she realized that the Charizard was sexually assaulting her. When she realized what was happening, she jumped out of bed, causing the virtual character to disappear. However, after consulting the game on her smartphone, she was still able to detect the monster’s presence. She claims her apartment is a gathering point for the creatures, which is why her dog barks constantly when she plays the game. Undoubtedly her canine companion senses the virtual monsters and couldn’t possibly be annoyed that she keeps pacing around the flat.
After the attack, the woman quickly awoke her husband, who had been asleep next to her in the bed. He did not believe her claim that she was sexually assaulted and told her to go ask to bed. When she remained agitated, he recommended she seek out the help of a psychiatrist. Instead, the young woman sought the guidance of her neighborhood psychic. The mystic did not believe her either. In desperation, she booked an appointment with a psychiatrist. However, she still filed a police report, citing Bill Cosby as justification. Police records note her claim that, like Bill Cosby’s accusers, she will eventually be proven right about the rape. Nevertheless, law enforcement officers do not believe her claim either.
