Listened and could predict every note. That is not to say it is not pleasant listening. Art shocks Titian placed the Madonna not central, but to the extreme right. Shocking. bowie likewise shocks,(thanks for reminding me rgs)by making the next movement unpredictable. Sure if you listen a few times you know, but first listening?

Would you be able to predict notes if you had lived in say 1650 and hadn't heard anything of the 'latest' fashion ? What is to be preferred, the regular rhythm of the clock Haydn Symphony No 101 D major The clock The New Dutch Academy or some surprise to wake you up ? Haydn - Symphony No 94 G major (Surprise)

I was considering my use of the word shock. It is possible to misunderstand it. "Take your breath away,", colloquial. Be astounded, made to think, contemplate. "The shock of the new,". Or indeed the shock of the old. It is hard to define. Many have tried, i tend towards those bloody snowflakes, the Bloomsbury queers: SIGNIFICANT FORM Term coined by art critic Clive Bell in 1914 to describe the idea that the form of an artwork or forms within an artwork can be expressive, even if largely or completely divorced from a recognizable reality

Uncle you are are correct in your assertion that personal taste is individual and that is why libtards , or snowflakes, non conformists, win over fascists. So what is art? It is beyond simple definition. Pulp fiction? It can be. Examples are numerous. I will offer one of millions:
Two, as i began browsing. Matisse.

"Station To Station"
The return of the Thin White Duke throwing darts in lovers' eyes Here are we one magical moment Such is the stuff from where dreams are woven Bending sound Dredging the ocean lost in my circle Here am I Flashing no colour tall in this room overlooking the ocean
Here are we One magical movement from Kether to Malkuth 1 There are you You drive like a demon from station to station The return of the Thin White Duke throwing darts in lovers' eyes [x2] The return of the Thin White Duke, making sure white stains
Once there were mountains on mountains And once there were sunbirds to soar with And once I could never be down Got to keep searching and searching Oh what will I be believing and who will connect me with love?
Wonder who wonder who wonder when Have you sought fortune evasive and shy? Drink to the men who protect you and I Drink drink drain your glass raise your glass high
[CHORUS 1] It's not the side-effects of the cocaine I'm thinking that it must be love It's too late - to be grateful It's too late - to be late again It's too late - to be hateful The european cannon is here
[CHORUS 2] I must be only one in a million I won't let the day pass without her It's too late - to be grateful It's too late - to be late again It's too late - to be hateful The European cannon is here
[CHORUS 3] Should I believe that I've been stricken? Does my face show some kind of glow? It's too late - to be grateful It's too late - to be late again It's too late - to be hateful The european cannon is here, yes it's here
It's too late [5 times] The European cannon is here

In title song „Station to Station” from the album of the same name, David Bowie mentions ‘‘kether’’ and ‘‘malkuth’’. At time of song’s release only few knew what he is saying and even fewer what it means, although David ‘‘always accompanied the line on stage with a hand movement sliding from “top” to “bottom.”’’ Kether and Malkuth are Jewish Kabalah terms that represent two of 10 Sephirots in the Tree of Life. Kether also known as Keter is the topmost of the Sephirot, called ‘crown’ in Hebrew. It sits in a triptih, above Chokmah and Binah to the right and left. Keter is so sublime, it is called in the Zohar (radience or sublime) "the most hidden of all hidden things", and is completely incomprehensible to man. It is also described as absolute compassion, and Rabbi Moshe Cordovero describes it as the source of the 13 Supernal Attributes of Mercy. In metaphor it is known and taught as “The lily amongst the thorns”. Malkuth meanwhile meaning „kingdom” is at the very bottom of the tree. „Unlike the other nine sephirot, it is an attribute of God which does not emanate from God directly. Rather it emanates from God’s creation—when that creation reflects and evinces God’s glory from within itself. Although Malkuth is seen as the lowest Sefirah on the tree of life, it also contains within it the potential to reach the highest. This is exemplified in the Hermetic maxim ‘As above so below’.” The actual phrase „kether to malkuth” means “crown to kingdom/royalty/kingship” in Hebrew,
