Heard this freaky noise today, sounded like a baby crying at first, then like a cat in distress. I went out the back in search of this hideous sound.
The noise was coming out of a large macadamia nut tree in our backyard, so I ruled out babies. Must be a cat. Told the guy who owns this house and he told me it was a "catbird", had been hanging around for a few days but usually only hear it very early in the morning.
Reminded me of the sound of a "barking owl" which emits a screaming noise like that of a woman being murdered in a horror movie.
This damn country is full of freaky shit man !
