British Airways is planning to squeeze an extra 52 seats on its Boeing 777 flights by shrinking seating space, it is claimed. The airline giant is reportedly trying bring its services "into line" with competitors at Gatwick from 2018. It also plans to “densify” aircraft at Heathrow after that, it is said. Currently passengers will find nine economy seats in each row in the 777s. But from 2018, there will reportedly be 10 seats fitted within the same space. The move would increase the population on board flights by up to a fifth and stretch current facilities further. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/11/07/british-airways-to-squeeze-extra-52-seats-onto-boeing-777-econom/

They can squeeze it up their own ass with the extravagant prices they charge, with nothing more to offer than other airlines.
That £1 they purchased the company for has to be reconciled somehow I guess.

...business class on Asian airlines: never again on a US/European airline (though Lufthansa and Swissair were wonderful)... In recent year Qatar had the best business class IMHO as regards both service and price for long haul and seeing as the state of Qatar finances the mad mullah terrorists chances are there will never be a terrorist attack on any of their aircraft Which Asian airlines are you referring to ?....Singapore yes...but their class prices are through the roof these days, Malaysia ? Thai airways these days is of a very low standard, Cathay is good, EVA is good

British Airways is increasingly trying to turn itself into easyJet or Ryanair in a race to the bottom. According to the article, it actually has narrower seats than EasyJet and Thomson.
From a recent piece in The Guardian:
"you are not alone in suffering from what appears to be a dramatic decline in BA’s customer service. Britain’s favourite airline is fast becoming Britain’s least trusted airline, if our postbag is to be believed. A few years ago we used to get almost as many letters praising it – now BA is vying with easyJet as our most complained-about airline, and is just about winning."
There once was a time when, as British, we could feel proud of our national airline. That time has passed.

Would be ok if everyone weighed the same as me, 75 kg wringing wet. Trouble is they will be squeezing big 100 kg + arses into those little seats. And the queue for the toilet will be the length of the plane now.
