Was doing my walk (stagger & wobble) down our soi to the temple yesterday and was nearly cleaned up by a car (missed me by a mile) which came down the street past the temple at high speed (about 30 kph) and careered into (turned slowly) our soi. It was a Google Street View car, with the funny bubble camera mounted on the roof. Which was a coincidence because just a couple of days ago I was wondering when they would do another scan of the area as Street View does not show our house, it was last done in November 2011. Maybe they do it every five years. It's a great tool, very handy if you are going somewhere you have never been before and think you will have trouble finding it.

Been playing with Google maps lately. Our soi at Saraphee does not have a sign at either end, on Google Maps it is "Unnamed Road" Don Kaeo, Saraphee Bit hard to give someone the address when your soi does not have a sign, or a name. Found this site that gives you the lat and long of any place in the world, you just click on a spot and the coordinates are given, even the height above sea level - www.mapcoordinates.net/enIf you are giving directions to someone, to somewhere that does not have a distinct address, you just send them the coordinates. When they enter the coordinates into Google Maps and hit search it comes up, makes it easy to find.

That presumes that the person being directed is capable of reading a map.

Here is what my lads had to read, no bally tree's, churches ,pubs, roads etc to help just a bloody great puddle. We couldn't get out for a walk to scout out our positions. Well not unless you was the favoured son of course!!! Looks simpleenough to me..........got all those numbers on it like those colouring books or Join the Dots.

If only. I said ''Hard to port'' not home to port.''Quite obviosly at fault then . Maybe they should have put big S for starboard on your right hand like they put the L for left on Tigers boot. Wet stuff is on the right side of this boat ship. The side to the left of the ship is Tiger's domain
