Surely no manager no board of directors nor fellow players or supporters would wish to be associated with someone accused of such crimes.
Yes innocent until proven otherwise and rightly so too.
However is there any though or concern as to what the repercussions may be due to people with strong feelings concerning the matters he, Adam Johnston is involved with?

I think it would be crazy for him to play, however Sunderland are in a relegation fight and he is one if their better players....

He won't play....if only for the reason they try to pick him the coppers would likely intervene and have a word. His safety on the pitch couldn't be guaranteed...and he is after all innocent until proven guilty. |

The bigger issue at this point should be a right to anonymity until convicted.....these charges ruin people's lives even when they are found innocent.
