Incase you don't know what Chromecast looks like, here it is 
Brilliant little device if you don't have a smart tv, or even if you do. Under 2000b. Plugs into hdmi, then from your phone, send YouTube straight to the tv set wirelessly! Then if you want, you can line up song after song just like a jukebox. Love it! |

^ Sounds great, bet they sell lots of them.
I looked into those little gadgets that you plug into a tv set and it converts it to a computer. They look interesting as well.

I've got AppleTV which is also awesome and I use an old iPhone with that for my main television but would like something like your describing for the bedroom.

An andriod box, dependent of what software you download, you can get just about everthing " True" plus heaps more, for example " film on" you can get all the free to air UK television as a live stream, or software, all the good series and movies etc, i run Kodi, Film on, Mobdro, Megabox and Cloud TV on mine, got facebook, gmail and internet browser as well....best thb 2700 i have ever spent |

Far as I know, it's only on sites like Netflix, Stan etc. How it works is a little icon shows up in the top right hand corner, and you press that. It then Chromecasts to the telly. Its pure sorcery. No idea outside of YouTube what can be Chromecasted. Sorry Johnny I can't answer further, but thanks for your enquiry: ) |

you can cast direct from your phone so anything on your phone can be seen on the tele. quite a few sites like youtube etc allow full screen with the little icon that hippity mentioned.
i have it downstairs and love it. great for those 2hour long peppa pig youtubes and hd match of the day so i dont need to copy it over to a usb.
some movies do seem to buffer a lot but the might be my piece of shit computer.
