Do I have a fear of flying you mean, or the whole travel process including going through airports?

Except for some of the female flight attendants, it’s a pain (long-hauls). looking forward to the day

Love it and Biz class has really improved over the years with sleeper seats, not a fan of the 15 hour nonstops and the FA's do tend to over serve me, which I always regret. Sadly i'm out of frequent flyer points so I have to pay for the family to fly now those programmes were good in the day but the fuel surcharge for freebies is about the same as an economy ticket often.

One more thing I want to do before I fly the 5th class is circumvent the globe, an around the world trip sounds like fun.

I found that flight last night a draaaaaaaaaaag.
Strange how that works - I've done 14 hour flights and breeezed it. 10 hours last night was like pulling teeth.
On the bright side, I'm in a pub in Docklands now having a pint of cider and bangers & mash.
Life is good.

Used to fly for free & didn't mind the weird way/flights to get from A to B - was actually kind of fun & interesting.....
Now, it's not so much the flying part but the hassle of managing huge frenzied airports & stampedes to get to wait in the next huge queue before distilling out to the next leg that gets wearying.....
And yes - some flights are spontaneously quick......While others are grin & bear it ponderous....

Used to love it, something to look forward to, then it became something to be endured, now its something to be avoided.
Spoke to a couple in Pattaya the other night, first time in Thailand, asked them if they would come back, answer no, flying time too long, better places closer and easier to fly to. These werent zero $$$$ tourists.

What is it about a flight that makes it drag however? Poor timings? Cattle class? Cabin too hot/cold? Poor IFE? Poor hydration...or the opposite ? Some other factors....?

I think sometimes I'mean just one beat behind the drum, for no explicable reason.. Also, the seat on the BA flight short haul from Madrid was better than the biz class seat from Mexico - which is absurd. The curve on the rear of the seat did my head in, a poor and cheaplying constructed seat.
