Just bought a ticket for my next visa run and I couldn't believe the deal I got.

Yangon to Don Meaung, one-way, $40. And, unlike AirAsia, with Nok, you get a snack and free checked luggage. Whatta deal!

I bought a one-way ticket because my return is going to be a different destination, Naypyitaw. One way Bangkok to NPT? via Bangkok Airlines... $221!

Looking at flights for the annual trip to Norwich and Budapest- looks like it will cost a shade under 800 pounds. It seems that if you book the legs of the trip desperately you can save quite a bit of money. Better than Skyscanners 52 hour suggestion through China!
