Yeh and I get annoyed if any one is sitting at my table, 27. Why I wait to eat after one. Very rare; they clear the table and place a barrier up, stating only inside serving. Oh what a joy to belong.

Terminal 21 food court has dishes at 35 Baht but I find the meat a tad gristly for my taste.
Thus I prefer to head to Phra Ram 9 and Food Republic for my lunch.
Krapow Moo and water for 70 Baht....I do this at least twice a week....its delicious.
The food court in the basement of the new Emporium mall has the same dish for 70 Baht...80 with water and is even better but you need to tell them to make it spicy.

Always a port of call when I am back in BKK I'm forever amused by these clowns who insist on only ever eating from food carts on the street "authentic authentic!!" when you can have the same dish in a food court with a lovely view and aircon for the same price.

Agree ! I often eat in the food court on the ground level at Central Airport Plaza ("Centran") in CM and I doubt I have ever had a bad meal there, at a reasonable price. The Kao Soi is pretty good, often have that. Same deal with people paying big bucks to ride around in the back of a hot, dusty and noisy tuk-tuk when they can ride in an air conditioned taxi for less.

Agreed, never sit on the street. Too many excellent places to eat.
I eat at Paradise, (Seri as it was) usually once a week. Seacon has some good food, but when there I can not resist fish and chips with a cabbage concoction. 59 baht.
Just remembered the one exception where we will eat on the street, the Isaan family , they live in the next soi, set up at six pm outside the local school. It is not hot out then and they are meticulously clean. Only problem is getting a table, demand is high. Packed every evening. Several favourite dishes and of course cheap.

It's a little overpriced now, and the view isn't as good any more.

When wife and I lived in the condo in CM city we used to go down along the outside of the klong, some good outdoor eating places there. One lady cooked legs of pork, the meat would fall off the bone. Can taste it now !

Seacon has great food selection. Hard to beat that place I think.

Near where I live there's a similar outdoor 'eatery'. Nice 'ka mu', but the rice is not the best quality. 50 Baht for a 'bag' of the stuff with gravy, more than enough for the wife and me. PS there goes my diet
