I'm just a lowly tourist, and although I'm from summers that reach 40 plus degrees for several weeks at a time, if it gets hot our air con is blasting. Visit Thailand, house or hotels... first thing is air con on.
Then back at home, our cool winters arrive, no air con for 9 months.
How's it work out for you fulltime in Thailand?

Not full time in my case, but I've learned to avoid AC and use fans where possible.
That virus I caught from an AC was a woeful experience.

I stayed in a hotel once in CM . Every morning I'd wake up with a vicious ear ache, screaming headache similar to what I'd imagine a tumour felt like, until the night I forgot to turn the air con on.

It wasn't the Downtown Inn was it ? If so you were lucky to escape with your life.
We have one air con in our house, in our bedroom. Don't use it that much. I can get by with a fan on me, wife is the same. Every now again it is a bit of a treat but I think we have become to reliant on the rotten things. I used to get sick if I had one on me all night.

By memory no not the downtown. Decent place, maybe 4 star, in the entrance there was always a guy and a young girl playing those Chinese instruments. Similar to a violin and a xylophone. I remember the buffet breakfast was great. I always remember those.

That virus I caught from an AC was a woeful experience. Is that a variant upon the old saw of "I caught it from a toilet seat"?

Only use air con at night. Need to be cool, that frantic sex stuff.
Hot stuff.

Probably too often, but I tend to clean the airco once a month. The filters and whatever else I can clean without real tools. Normally use a fan and I'm still adapting to a paperless office at home

Usually night time only, but often during the day at nap time.
This morning is a chilly 24 degrees, even the dan seems cold on me.

24C.....geez I better bring my jammies! Looking at the weather forecast still max/min 31/24 on Saturday. In Bangkok that is. Thursday daytime temperature might not even got above 29C. Imagine! No worries though, you surely have woollen underwear and socks, and your kilt is made from fine highland sheep wool of course
