A rich history has a rising cost to preserve it's memory in tangible articles. Seeing pictures only works so much. To be able to touch part of a common history makes a better, lasting impression. Having said all that, what is the price people are willing to pay? I'm getting a bit philosophical as a result of reading the article below. "Time running out to save Britain’s U-boat hunter from scrapyard HMS President, which saw action in the first world war, may have to be broken up if £3m to repair its hull cannot be found" www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/dec/03/first-world-war-submarine-u-boat-hunter-ship-scrapyard-hms-president
