I don't get thisxanti-Christmas moaning. Either participate or eff off. No need to witter on about it. do not see what is wrong with it.....some special food. Then every night during Ramaden we can have a great feast once it is dark enogh that the threads look the same. Eid al-Adha is pretty good. Lots of meat shared round the community...nice when it is somewhere like turkey when they sacrifice a nice goat or sheep grass fed on the high meadows and they would be overstocked for the winter if they did not. Not too keen on the sheep that have that terrible boat trip from Australia or New Zealand though. Easter lets us eat lots of chocolate. ....and Divali all those delicious Indian sweets. Do not like salt fish too much though Do not know what people complain about Christmas either. |

I love Xmas as blether always buys me wonderfully ostentatious presents.
I feel sure he won't disappoint this year....

Hurts me to admit it, but for quite a few years now I have been a bit of a Xmas Grinch, looked at it as more an inconvenience than anything else. This year is different though, as I get to spend my first Xmas with my 3yo son. The first two I missed as I was working in Australia and he was only a baby and the last one I was doing rehab after being released from hospital in Australia. This one is special and I have the tree decorated and all his present gift wrapped to put under the tree on Saturday night. He is so excited and has talked about Santa constantly for weeks. Looking forward to this one. Might even have a couple of sherbets.  |

Enjoy mick. My little baby is now thirteen, fast becoming a young man. Taller than his mother and catching up with me. But he still insisted we decorate the christmas tree , lit up last night.
