Samui’s garbage disposal problem is escalating out of control. With an incinerator that has been out of action for samui garbage crisis 1 years, mountains of rubbish and waste piling up around the roads leading to the garbage site, and a garbage site full to capacity it is little wonder that the rivers and ponds in a two mile vicinity of the unit are polluted, contaminated and toxic. The buildings at the garbage control unit are abandoned, the windows have been smashed, the staff are long gone and all that remains is a stinking, toxic derelict site with no change in sight.www.samuitimes.com/the-shocking-truth-behind-samuis-garbage-disposal-crisis/

Think this might be a problem on a lot of the islands. Recycling and rubbish collection here on Chang is not great

Yesterday, a local resort spread litter out on the beach, so a bunch of Hi So Thais could come down , have their photo taken about what a great job they were doing in helping the environment. The manager was actually out there organising it. Today, a big apology, and they blamed the "activities team", seriously what a bunch of ass clowns, and usual not taking responsibility.
I would name it here, but of course I'd probably get done for defamation
