He claimed to be a vegetarian (albeit one who occasionally at a slice of ham), and I'm sure he wouldn't lie. Which is why I said understood, there really seems to be no proof either way but there are sites covering both theories on the web.

Would have been ironic if he didn't eat pork products. If he did, it could have been out of solidarity with his Moslem pal, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini. Both shared a virulent hatred of Jews, with the Mufti approving of the Holocaust. |

Such virulent anti-Islamic blasphemy has no place in this forum. Mohammed was Islam's final prophet, so there can't be "prophets". Only the heretical Ahmadis believe otherwise, and they aren't proper Moslems but infidels, liars and apostates (at least according to the Pakistani government). |
