Beats me how you Australians can live in such a dangerous country Oz flag 2 ................................................................................................... An Australian man and his 11-year-old son have been bitten by a tiger snake inside their home in Melbourne. Matt Horn was bitten while trying to protect his boy, who was struck first, said snake catcher Mark Pelley. Both were treated in hospital and released. Tiger snakes, found along Australia's coast, are one of the world's most venomous reptiles. Local newspaper the Herald Sun said the boy, Braeden, who has autism, encountered the snake in a hallway. "He had already started playing with it when my wife saw him out of the corner of her eye," Mr Horn told the newspaper. "It struck him on the toe and inner leg." Paramedics called Mr Pelley to the house at midnight on Wednesday. "The father did the right thing, he saved his son and got bitten in the process," Mr Pelley told the BBC. www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-38400920

The area I lived in when I had my 10acre block was known as the "Deadly Triangle" by the snake experts because of the number of deadly snake species found in that one area. When I was building my house I was fitting some windows that went down to the floor, about one metre above ground level. Happened to look at the ground and there was a large ugly looking snake below me. Unfortunately for him I had a nailing gun in my hand which I shot him in the head with, about 37 times. Showed it to a snake man and he said it was a taipan, it was about two metres long. Saw countless deadly snakes in the 13 years I owned that land.

Tiger snakes are unusual in that they will actually chase you if you go near their nest when they are breeding.
There have been cases of people being chased at high speed for long distances. And you wouldn't want one of them angry parents to catch you because they are deadly.
