Seems amazing news as I found it in a Nigerian Online Paper "10 crocodiles escape from zoo after floods hit southern Thailand Authorities said crocodiles were swimming through rising flood waters and warned the locals to take special caution No fewer than 10 crocodiles escaped from a zoo in the southern Thai province of Nakhon Si Thammarat since floods hit the area recently, local media reported on Saturday. The report noted that the Deputy Mayor of the province, Manas Pongyeelar said that all the reptiles, deer and rare bird species had escaped from Thai Lad Zoo that housed over 10 crocodiles, some measuring up to five meters long." theeagleonline.com.ng/10-crocodiles-escape-from-zoo-after-floods-hit-southern-thailand/

If you saw it on a Nigerian news site it is probably a scam. Except when it comes to Thailand, the world capital of croc farming. Actually it wouldn't be a Thai flood if at least a few crocs didn't escape.

Actually it wouldn't be a Thai flood if at least a few crocs didn't escape. I had a very lucky escape with crocodiles here. When my first wife and I were on rather shaky ground....or our relationship was we went to visit some friends of hers...they owned a small crocodile farm. enterance to the farm and to the house was walking along 6 inch wide planks. I had a fear of heights and can never walk along those things and here we were with her helping me across and along.....one little push and she would not have had to worry about me anymore. However I am sure the thought never crossed her mind.

About 1 km as the crow flies from my village there is a large chicken farm. At this farm there was a fenced pond in which the owners kept 8 crocodiles. These beasts were about 8 feet long. They were fed on dead chickens from the farm. About 15 years ago the monsoon season was particularly heavy, and one night after a particularly heavy downpour the pond flooded and all the crocodiles were able to scramble over the fence and escape. They then made their way to a river that flowed nearby and that flows through my village. The alarm went out and the villagers were told to take care when near the river banks. This river flows North until it reaches a large reservoir just South of Biriram Town. As the stream was in flood flood mode at the time I expect that eventually the crocs would have made the journey. Despite extensive searches being carried out nothing was ever seen of the crocodiles again.
