Let's be honest if a family has become a rich dynasty here invariably they are of either Indian or Chinese descent and of course have impeccable and useful connections spanning a vast spectrum society U and non U.

Always amazed me how the majority of the population seem to be struggling and a small percentage are loaded. Congrats to the ones who worked hard and climbed to the dizzy heights of buying their first Merc, which seems to scream in Thai - "Fork you ! I have made it baby" !

Would not mind being the person who owned Nana, imagine what they would be pulling in rents every month. Or the stinky hotel across the street, that houses all the wifebeaters who drink in Nana.

You are correct however about rents etc, one reason I avoid the place, I aint making someone else rich. As for the hotel, thats a different family I believe, again loaded.
