I believe it is thinking outside the box Sure threw Kant at you all.Doubt any read it. As a teacher you listen, oh surprise, listen do not force your agenda. Listen, observe and guide. I read so much bluster on here. Do it my way is the common theme. Have i ever said do it my way? Well i might of just then. Kant. "Kant wanted to prove, in a way that would dumbfound the common man, that the common man was right: that was the secret joke of this soul." - attributed to Friedrich Nietzsche PS with our many Scottish members maybe David Hume is more popular "David Hume (/ˈhjuːm/; born David Home; 7 May 1711 NS (26 April 1711 OS) – 25 August 1776) was a Scottish philosopher, historian, economist, and essayist, who is best known today for his highly influential system of radical philosophical empiricism, skepticism, and naturalism." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hume

A deep philosophy which i do agree with. Nietzsche is often disregarded as being a Nazi, he was not, at the forefront of existential philosophy.

Personally I think to put more emphasise on " in a way that would dumbfound"

No, it is not easy. Nietzsche was very near in my humble opinion. No god. But Buddhism had reached that conclusion thousands of years ago. No not the Buddhism of Thailand.

Machiavelli was stating the same centuries before Kant. Decried as a servant of satan. His proposition was take religion out of decision making. Be pragmatic. Nasty stuff, but the truth of what really happens.
