Till now I'm on my passport photo wearing spectacles. Probably soon only photo's without allowed. Already two years with one-year extension of my visa here in Thailand the Immigration officer would use a desktop camera to make a photo asking me to take off my glasses.

Nowt wrong with facial image dection programmes, difficult for a forger to replicate such images into a decent sexton blake.   |

Faces change over time but eyes never do so stick to eye recognition and that'll work the smoothest

Departure cards could also be binned
