Of all the books i have read, two at least stand out,
The Power and The Glory by Graham Greene, the other, Burmese Days by mister 1984 himself.
Neither of them are Thai related, but yet to me make perfect sense and are essential reading for any expat.
What do you recommend as essential reading for we poor plebs?

I heard Fly Fishing by J. R. Hartley was once quite sought after.
I'm surprised TBH that none of the pikeys go fishing in the klongs for their supper.
No shortage of pla chon in there, they literally jump onto the line, even a net on a piece of bamboo would bag you a nice fish supper.
