Don't know what it's like with your wives/girlfriends but I have noticed a lot of Thai women are very suss when it comes to other Thai people, very security conscious etc.
My wife is always warning me about mixing with "bad people" and not to drink in bars where there are lots of Thais getting p**sed up.
But she seems fine with farangs.
I am the opposite, so many of the fellow farangs I have met in Thailand since 2005 are the sort of people I used to avoid "back 'ome" and I treat them the same here.

Same bloke, . Apparently his girfriend stole 500k from his bank and eloped with a Somchai, hence his attempt at burning his house down.

His or her house ?....if her's can see some sense in that in trying to burn the gaff to the ground, but if he owns it somehow...what a tool why would you set fire to your own place ?
