Just a forty minute boat ride off the mainland to maybe the nicest resort on the island (while visiting we saw most all the other resorts). It was just a short trip and no need to spend any more than 4 to 5 full days on the small island.

First full day we had to map out most every beach on the island (second day by water).
Aow Kwang Peeb
You don’t want to tie your boat up along this beach. The locals will come out take pictures/call marine patrol/harass you.

Aow Ko Kyu
Aow Mea Mai (same beach the Blue Sky Resort is on)
We scheduled the trip to an island we haven’t seen with the idea of traveling to some diving sites while there. However the weather wasn’t working with us so we decided for a few short swims in the murky water around the island.
If you would like to get away and spend some time on a small island with some welcoming locals, this might be the place to visit. I don’t know what the nightlife has to offer but I am sure you could find what you might be looking on Koh Phayam.
