I am reminded of that quote - "Why is that the people who work hard have all the good luck" ?  I would have loved to have had such a high paying job that I could have afforded lots of leisure time, but it was not to be. I was lucky to land a good paying job in the mining industry around the time when I really needed the money to start again after marriage #1 crashed and burned. |

Who actually decided for all of us that we should be working 5 days a week? I'd happily do my 40 hours over 4 days and then have a 3 day weekend every week, but assholes around me have forced the 5 day, that's 5 day minimum upon me Since we only live once, who was it that forced working 5 days upon us all? Up to a point 40 hours in four days or 40 hours in five days is just shuffling hours around. Depending on the type of work 40 hours in four days may result in at least 24 hours doctor ordered rest in bed to recover. Now 10 hours for four days instead of 8 hours for five days. No OT of course. Only in professions, jobs where it's possible. I guess teachers exempted. Office workers? Garbage collectors? KFC/McDonald staff? Ah well, back to the drawing board  |

Even us working class kids know Labour is a joke....so ialism is not over....nor is health and safety or working conditions but we are all wise to the political games played by union leaders.
Scargill did ZERO for miners after the strikes and payoffs resulting in many ending up penniless.
