Star Wars heavy metal album crowd funded for £50,000: WATCH Galactic Empire here A STAR WARS themed heavy band called Galactic Empire has eight million views on YouTube and will release their first album after crowd funding £50,000. With over eight million hits on YouTube for their Main Theme and Imperial March singles, the band has become something of a pop culture phenomenon. Appearing in Death Star themed music videos, the band play covers of John Williams’ iconic soundtrack dressed as Star Wars villains including Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper. Would that little money even come close to rights for that or for the use of the Starwars characters....

Would that little money even come close to rights for that or for the use of the Starwars characters.... Interesting and valid point, most likely not an issue until they start making money and the slugs who own the rights will be lining up the law suits for their pound of flesh

Interesting and valid point, most likely not an issue until they start making money and the slugs who own the rights will be lining up the law suits for their pound of flesh Personally I am all in favour of rights...but they should remain with the creators and not be able to be transferred.
