By far mine was insulating houses with those awful fibreglass batts.
Itchy and stings at the same time. Its in your eyes all day and even once you're home , it doesnt go away. I tried to get used to it , but gave the job away after a week.
Worst part of the job was being up in the ceiling space. Mother of god its hot as hell , and watch your step.
Pays even average.
Effing shite job.
Anyone had worse than that ?

I once worked for a quid less than the market rate.
Not even free smoked salmon sandwiches at lunchtime.
I spat on the bosses car on my way to the bus stop.

I think that mine was also working with fibreglass insulation. It was a rip out job in Hong Kong in the middle of summer, too hot for protective clothes. Had to work it as it was a stepping stone for other rip outs (de-contruction jobs). What made it worse was I was teamed up with a gobshite but by the time the job had finished, he was as gentle as a lamb Silly backpacking twat will think twice about who he gobs it off to in the future.

As soon as I saw the heading I too thought of Derek and Clive. Worst job I ever had was in a factory making chain. Operated a machine that cut the steel rod into the pieces that were bent to make the links. Push the steel in, hit a button on the floor, chop, repeat over and over and................................ I didn't even make it til smoko time on the first day, just walked out and kept going.

Had the odd jobs in school holidays, but nothing real awkward. One might even say that the cleaning job which included cleaning military barracks including the loos prepared me for the extra experience I gained once I was drafted

Mine was working as a consultant in Frankfurt. Staying in 5* hotels, eating in the hotel restaurants. Felt permanently unwell from overindulgence. The project itself, to build a retail brokerage website to interface to the bank's decrepit back office systems, was poorly defined and there was no work to do. Despite that, the bank had already recruited 100s of very expensive consultants from across Europe. Needless to say, the project was canned after millions had been spent. So much for so-called "German efficiency".
This was the only project I ever worked on for a large bank/brokerage. Made me resolve never to do so again. Much preferred working with smaller brokerages and trading operations.

Wasn't that part of the peace agreement?

Worst jobs? Work. Every other employment i have enjoyed. Thus not work.
The holiday stints as a student in various factories, that's work, boring monotonous soul destroying. Did it for money, only reason. All others fun, but of course bad days as well as good. But it was not for money.Paid for it sure, but that was not the motivation.
