Lat Krabang, just up the road from me, what you looking for, house, townhouse or what? Bargains, heres a piece of advice, best you get yourself to one of these older established moo baans and buy a house for about 3 million baht, you are basically buying the land and getting the house for free. Knock down the house and put up a new one, total cost will be about 7 million baht, beats the 10 million plus some of these developers are selling these days.

Just looking for either a condo or one of those townhouses , nothing flash. Got a friend looking for us who's seen new places on some land for around that 2 price tag. Good area out thata way. If you hear of anything , let me know mate cheers.

I recommend you get land....that's what is going to be expensive in the years to come.
Condos are great for living in but you will run out of space for your wife's shoes in no time mark my words!

Here's an old one I had on my PC from around 2007. Depending on which version of excel you use, you may need to "enable editing" on opening excel after clicking on the link, otherwise some of the fields may come up with errors. Attachment DeletedI have a few more elsewhere if this isn't what you're after - just need to find them The main drawback with this one is that it assumes one rate throughout the term, so doesn't cater for promotional periods/ different rates in different years. It will give an idea though. The actual way interest is calculated may vary slightly between Thai banks. So always worth asking for a quote. But they should be similar. They generally calculate on a daily basis, based on principal outstanding but not always On the other hand car loans and HP often calculate based on original principal, so avoid using those Cheers Fletch

BTW Depending on your version of excel they now build in similar templates into the software, eg if I click in Excel: File New then templates come up. There is one called "Loan Comparison calculator". So then click on "create" It allows you to compare 3 different scenarios, which you can set on the worksheet <payment schedule> . You may need to unfreeze the panes if its the payment schedule you're particularly interested in as the format is a bit naff. Here's an example: Attachment Deleted

As a guide to the area and not too far to Lad Krabang, Theppeark road, Paknam Sukmvit road, Ban Poo areas. and expressway access too.
My village, established property, town house style 12 years old 22W, 3 floors, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths nice living area big car port no garden as such small back yard, very quiet, 5 minutes to good local shopping area fetching around 2 million, a number of repossessions cheaper and some two bed places too.
Prekasa Soi Mankon (Dragon Soi) village 5. Some nice property around us in various villages

^^^, , I always have a laugh as I am on the motorway, whizzing by the elephant statue heading towards Pra Ram 2, reading the signs for Thepaerak, etc, I usually pull off at the Pu Chao turn off right by the river. Call me a liar, and I know many wont believe me, but its possible to buy houses down that way for less than 100,000 baht.

A relative works for honda out that way and I caught a taxi to his place 1 night , 400 plus baht later on the meter , we were still in lat krabang. Fairly big area and lots going on out there. Great place for a reasonably priced base. Its getting harder to stay in hotels with 2 kids now , so we'll just buy and use as a base. Let the relative pay some rent.
