I have an old Uk paper licence,but they will only let you update it if you live in the Uk and can produce proof of adress.since i have not lived there since 1997.

As soon as you arrive register with a GP and demand to see him (cough your lungs out). After registration they will send you an acceptance letter with your NI No on it and your NHS number on it. It could be a week or two.....BINGO, proof. You can use your Thai licence for up to a year I believe. |

Well ihave a thai licence and Australian,it just seems crazy you have to go back to the Uk to change it over,you can renew your Australian licence from overseas.

They can pull your photo off the passport so they match. If you're 70 and renewing a licence you supposed to show proof of residence for 187 day before your 70th birthday. The whole system is disgraceful, where do they get these jobswoworths to work all this stuff out? |
