I see this a lot. Husband and wife divorce ( for years ). Daughter becomes Mia Farang, parents get back together.
One female pal of mine couldn't believe it when she went home last week to find her Dad sitting there cock of the walk. He'd disappeared years ago and had showed up when it was announced she was getting married to a German guy.
She couldn't believe he tried to pull the PATRIACH of the family stunt ( I paid for your education, now you owe me ). He didn't pay.
She couldn't believe her Mum let him in the house ( domestic violence ).
So what happened? It descedended into a screaming match verging on a fight. The girl walked out with her stunned fiance and told her Mum she would never be back.
Thai families, huh?

Doubt it as long as he's on the scene. She'd do time for him, having watched her mothers head bounce off the floor many a time at his hands. I think she feels betrayed by her Mum, letting him back in the house.

I think she feels betrayed by her Mum, letting him back in the house. It's the relationship with her mother that will keep her coming back. No doubt from what you say her Father is bad one.

Bad, very bad and i think not typical. Thai family bonds are deep and step out of line and there are consequences.Sure you can change partners, have a fling, but the bond is there and the unwritten taboo. Violence to a woman is up there as number one. My wife's ex was guilty of that. He is an outcast.

Details, ex is a distant relative. His family and mine live in the same soi. I know him and his parents.I walk freely down that soi. He dare never to tread foot there. In his favour he has repented and accepts the guilt. Raised my wife's daughter, who is close to us.But the guilt is not ever removed. I feel for him, aint that strange.

My wife is very tough, strong. She has hit me, but i never her.I can understand what happened with her ex, but that is still inexcusable. The case of might is right. A man must control his often superior strength. With a woman or more so with a child. Snowflake.

Must add, wife or i have never used physical force with our son. As to hitting me, well i deserved it.
Will add i use words and there is a language barrier, dear wife so frustrated, only way to lash out. My response, cool and calm externally, just held her, calm down, my fault.

Sometimes I wish there was a language barrier.
Heh heh heh.
To the instrumental of Sultans of Swing.
