So who was she? who was that girl that you felt a connection with and reckoned if you had married her you'd still be together today?

Norwegian girl i met travelling in India,had a great couple of weeks together,then i went to Nepal ,she went to Goa,but,more,i after my trekking went to Goa,met her on a river ferry again,she was due to leave for bombay the next day,but agreed to change her flight,we went to Panjim the capital of Goa,the next day and she stayed another 3 weeks with me ,the best of my life,later that year,in June after i had returned to the Uk,i had a knock on my door one day ,i,opened it an there she was out of the blue,we spent about six, weeks together,all around Greece,i put her on a train back to northern Europe,with some bread,cheese and the few dollars i had left,never saw her again,though we kept in touch for a few years,by letter,was the early 90's no mobile's or text's then,i still think about her to this day,wonder what could have been.

I have met the right woman at the wrong time, she was small town, I had the wanderlust.
She was perfect in every way, I had to get it out my system.
If I had stayed with her I would have resented what I gave up for her, stuck in a small town with a boring job going nowhere fast.
If I was to meet her today, different story.
When I go back to the UK I dont even mention places like Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney or Bkk, people just wouldnt believe it.
Feel sorry for them in a way, busting a gut for a 2 week holiday in Spain once a year, then back to the rat race, a big night out for them is down the local on a Sat night to watch a few turns, and the mrs can play bingo.
There is always some 16 year old girl sat there 8 months pregnant with some dozy prick of a boyfriend in tow with his 10 bob a week suit from Burtons, his future FIL knocking back about 16 pints of mild or bitter, great night out lad.

there are probably dozens I could put in this category: but none, I suspect, would have replaced the one that didn't get away.

I don't understand your message.....'provoking bend over again'? I think MJP is saying he left the big fish get away, but 300 pound, that's a big fish. To think I biatch and whinge when just one a fraction of that size gets away. You must have missed the context on your holiday. |
