BANGKOK — A Redshirt-run television station has been permanently canceled after Thai authorities decided its news coverage was politically divisive and could "incite unrest."The decision was announced by Natee Sukonrat, deputy chairperson of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC), on his official Twitter account today. The station, called Peace TV, was previously suspended for a week in April after the NBTC said its news coverage violated the ruling junta's Order No. 97, which forbids media from fomenting violence or causing "divisions in the Kingdom." The station, which is operated by the largely anti-coup Redshirt movement, often featured core Redshirt leaders like Jatuporn Prompan and Nattawut Saikua. www.khaosodenglish.com/detail.php?newsid=1430133659§ion=11

They should have just ordered them to play endless reruns of the Everton game.

Well, they'd been warned a couple of times and seemed to simply ignore it. . They'd even propped that hateful old witch Thida up in front of the camera again over the past few weeks. Mind you, BlueSky (now Faa Wan Mai or something) is no better - it's still up and running too - that flouncy 'doctor' (formerly one of Suthep's very close right hand men) can be seen on there daily spouting his nonsense on what is presumably a show offering medical and spiritual advice.
