Call me cynical but why havent his two foreign friends come forward to confirm what he was saying, this matter would easliy be closed out then ? If any money changed hands for the "service" then transport dept may be correct, and who are ones hiding behind bushes taking happy snaps anyway ? Disgruntled taxi drivers ? When i went to CM tail end of last year, i "borrowed" a car for 10 days off a friend of a friend, for my appreciation in being "lent" said car, i gave him thb 800/day towards his maintenance...does this mean he is running a car hire company ? Yes it does technically |

I don't believe this story for two reasons, the first is that it is a Coconuts story, and secondly how many times every day all over Thailand do people drop friends off at airports, bus stations, railway stations etc ? We have done it ourselves about four times in the last couple of months.
Coconuts is famous for publishing crap when things are slow, like now.

Actually if you want to talk about "Thai logic" that's fine ( I never did try to understand it and probably never will ) but when you have a look at what's been happening in the the USA, the UK, and Europe lately I can't help wonder what is the more "illogical". |
