Rescue helicopter vanishes off Irish coast - one rescued as three remain missing
A MAJOR search operation has been launched after a helicopter disappeared off the coast of Ireland.
The Irish Coast Guard helicopter had four crew members on board when it stopped responding to contact late last night.
One crew member is believed to have been pulled from the water in a "critical condition". Rescuers, however, indicated his condition is deteriorating.
They added they are fearing the worst for the remaining three crew members. First responders reported seeing "debris" at the scene.
