Travellers cheques not accepted.

I have been hearing about this since I first came to Thailand and started doing visa runs, usually at Mai Sai. Have done two visa runs recently, Dec and Feb and have never been asked to show money.

Where did they ask you ?

Heard that down on the Southern border they have turned folks back. This could get some one hurt. Walking around with that kind of cash, could be tempting for some people.
