Just want to clarify something - I'm not having a go at economy passengers. I'm having a go at the airlines for ridiculous pricing. The only way to improve the infrastructure is investment. The investment would/could come from the airlines, dampening demand and improving facilities. An extra 1,000 baht tax on flights would generate about 45 billion baht a year. Serious money for a government short of money. But how are they short of money unless personages unknown are dipping into the till ? The infrastructure at swampy is not "bad" its just ill concieved, and " poor" design and doesnt " reflect" thailand as such It would be a start if they had all immigration desks open at peak. They can maximize current capacity.

Agreed, but in addtion they could make the passport check process a lot more effcient as well, the turnaround on each pp appears excessively long in comparsion with the likes of Singapore, i was into Singapore quicker (even getting my finger prints put into the database for the first time), than getting back into Thailand with a re entry permit, they fart about too much at Swampy

Use business class fast track immigration. 2. Use AoT taxi service. The majority of your complaints are those of the economy passenger who thinks that £4 for Pad Thai in an airport is a rip off. Ffs. 1. Not all airlines provide fast track for business class. Sri Lankan from Colombo doesn't. And anyway, if everybody used fast track immigration, you'd be back to square one. Fast friendly Immigration is hardly rocket science. With Changi I barely need to slow down walking to go through Immigration. Even KL LCCT takes less than a minute. 2. Why would I want to line the pockets of AoT? An international airport should be able to provide a decent taxi service - particularly when it charges a surcharge (what exactly does the surcharge go on?) and bans customer-friendly GrabTaxi and Uber. 3. And when is £4 for precooked Pad Thai not a rip off? Suvarnabhumi is basically a large shopping mall with an attached airport. It should be charging shopping mall prices (or a little less since it's a tax free zone). 4. Your attitude that economy passengers should accept being treated like shit is not very nice.

Whenever the subject of air travel arises it is only a matter of time before someone puts the boot into Thai Airways. I have been using them regularly for the last 10 years and have no major complaints about them. Flew with Singapore Airlines last trip and will be flying back with them next month, but will be going back to TA after that. They are are good airline who don't deserve a lot of the crap they cop. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact they have "Thai" in their name. Also have no major complaints about Swampy. I never seem to run into the big queues I keep hearing about, although the last couple of trips, in 2016, I was in a wheelchair which means you go express. Like being a diplomat. Did not notice the toilets were dirty either. Some of you are just too fussy !

I used to be a big fan of Thai, i havent flown them in years, but the most recent trip was 2 weeks ago and in my opinion they have gone down the shitter sorry in fact i think their subsidary airlines Nok Air and Thai Smile provide better service locally

Reminds me of LHR, now there is a effin shithole, lets cram as many shops selling overpriced junk into every square metre, never mind the passengers or their flying experience, lets rip them off for every buck we can. Same same Dubai, lets keep the punters and mugs on the ground for about three hours so we can divest them of their tourist $$$$, more profit in that than giving a straight through connecting service.

The real culprit behind all these complaints is the airlines. £400 return flights or less from the UK. AIR INDIA last week offering £232 one way from Heathrow. The infrastructure being oveloaded by cheap charlie travelers who demand five star service. The best thing the Thai gov could do to hammer down on this is to raise the airport tax. Thai Air is a cheap charlie airline as well in that they will not pay the sky way fee on some of their flights and bus their passengers around at their home airport...flew Thai for the first time in a good few years internationally a few weeks ago and the standards have really gone down the shitter from what i remembered With respect to Swampy, they need to get some "soul" or personality in the place, I too had the misfortune of flying Thai a few months ago due to my flight from Swampy being cancelled. I was going to be flying Singapore, via Singapore, but the airline thought I would prefer a direct flight, so put me on a Thai flight. Their business class cabin is disgusting, and around double the price of my original flight-so glad I didn't have to pay.

Don't fly with cheap charlie airlines. 2. Cos the driver meets you at the exit and takes your bags to a registered and pre-paid limo. 3. Don't talk stupid, name a major airport where airside food is the same price as a local mall. 4. Rubbish. I never said that. I said the airlines were to blame for unrealistically low prices. The Thai gov should raise airport tax and improve facilities.
