The Hurricane was telling me she was hit from behind while driving, and stuck in a claim for whiplash.
"I didn't have whiplash, but everyone said I should claim. I got £1500."
Within a month, she had written off her car ( own fault ) broken her laptop, lost her smartphone, and had a £250.00 excess for emergency dental treatment on holiday. Total outlay? £3,000.
"That'll teach me for making a false claim. Not doing that again."

Says her best pal was in a staged whiplash accident, got £1500.
"A week later she put diesel into a petrol car. Repair bill, £800. Lost her unprotected no-claims bonus, new insurance £400 more. Profit? £300 - minus the time she lost while the car was being fixed and relying on public transport."
She's not doing that again.
